In order to better serve you, while continuing to provide the great value our customers have come to expect from our company, RSL is pursuing significant changes and expanding our competitive strategy.

Our operational changes will be significant, and we are pleased to share the key highlights of these changes with you. They include:

Our expansive network of warehouses, offering you the ability to deliver your product, within 2 days or less, via ground, to 98 percent of the U.S. population is being enhanced with the opening of two new warehouses in Newark and Chicago.  These two additional locations signal a new, strategic offering for RSL customers who will benefit from close proximity to major population centers.  Later this year, we will share additional expansion plans for 2019 and beyond.

We are also pleased to inform you about several major I.T. initiatives underway at RSL.  In keeping with our commitment to offering customers state-of-the-art technology, we are replacing all our legacy software.; in addition, our proprietary warehouse management system is being enhanced to accommodate robotics and packaging on- demand. Our Transportation Management Software is also being replaced, and we have partnered with Microsoft Dynamics to serve as our Business Intelligence platform.  The full roll out of these I.T. initiatives will be completed in 2019.

In order to continue to offer great value, and ensure that you can continue to compete in today’s retail environment, we will also be launching the robots in four facilities this year, and expand them to include all warehouses in 2019.  We are also in the final stages of our automated box-making test.  For those orders requiring a box size greater than 1728 cubic inches, we will have the ability to, on-demand, custom make boxes in order to reduce dim weight and damaged packages. 

We are confident that our initiatives in product location, software and automation upgrades will position you, our valued clients, to further compete and scale as your business demands.

Lastly, we’re proud to announce that our parent company Rakuten, is sponsoring the first ever“Optimism Conference” on September 7, 2018, in San Francisco. This conference will provide a wonderful opportunity to not only attend our session, but also interact with the entire Rakuten America eco-system, with the opportunity to visit and learn more about industry-leading companies including Rakuten Marketing, Rakuten.com, and Rakuten Ebates, among others.  We are pleased to announce that we are offering clients access to a limited number of free tickets for every Conference ticket purchased; there are also additional opportunities if you would like to attend the Conference as either a vendor or sponsor.  Please contact your Client Service Representative for more information.
