As you may be aware, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers(CUPW) is on strike.

Negotiations have been ongoing between Canada Post and its largest union, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW). Unfortunately, they have not yet reached an agreement, resulting in rotating strikes and service disruptions expected into January 2019.

Canada Post is no longer accepting postal volume. While the United States Postal Service (USPS) continues to accept and process packages destined to Canada, as of Thursday, November 15, 2018, they are no longer tendering to Canada Post; USPS will retain the packages at their facilities (as their capacity allows) and tender to Canada Post once the strike ends.

Other carriers are taking precautionary measures to minimize the impact by re-routing some packages to alternate delivery partners in Canada. However, delays of three or more days are expected for packages.

RSL will continue to monitor this situation and will provide you with updates as they become available. In the meantime; details related to the negotiations can be found at www.canadapost.ca/update
